Selangor FC announced the two players from Brazil early this year, namely Herlison Caion and Hyuri Henrique to complete the five quotas of import players for the Red Giants camp this season.

Caion is a striker who has experience playing in the Thai League for more than three seasons while Hyuri previously played in China for two seasons. The club believes the experience of these two players playing in Asia will help them to adapt to the Malaysian League better.

During an interview with Hyuri, he expressed his joy to have the opportunity to play here in Malaysia after meeting his teammates.

"This is my first time playing in Malaysia and I am very grateful to my teammates. They have been great since the first day. Also, I cannot deny the talents that are here in front of my eyes now have made me more excited and happy to be here, ”

"They (teammates) are very good and have their own qualities. Coaches and management have developed an interesting mix of senior and young players in this team. I truly believe in what we have. So I'm confident that we can produce something this season," added Hyuri.

Herlison Caion also felt the same way, "My teammates welcomed me very well and it helped me to adjust more easily. Thanks to them,"

"I can already imagine how the Malaysian football scene is after playing several friendly matches recently. In two weeks the competition will start and I am making good preparations to make sure I will be able to help the team along with other teammates," he added.

Throughout the ongoing preseason preparations for the 2022 season, a series of closed-door friendly matches have been held. Caion has scored four goals from five matches while Hyuri has scored two goals from his three actions with Selangor FC.
